Despite significant growth in recent years, Indonesian health technology startups are facing new challenges stemming from market consolidation and reduced funding opportunities.
Venture capital firms have expressed cautious optimism in the country’s health technology industry, urging startups to adopt more realistic strategies to survive and secure more capital in today’s environment.
“Several healthcare start-ups we spoke to offered good pitches, but we suspect they may face challenges in monetization,” said Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India partner Gery Khoeng. Jakarta Post on Thursday.
