Blinken for Israel, action is needed against settler violence
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with Israeli Minister Benny Gantz, a member of the War Cabinet. The two “discussed efforts to increase and expedite the transit of critical humanitarian aid to Gaza,” State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said. Blinken and Gantz “also discussed ongoing efforts to prevent the escalation of the conflict and to secure the release of hostages held in Gaza, including US citizens.” The US secretary of state “stressed the urgent need for concrete steps to ease tensions in the West Bank, including addressing rising levels of extremist settler violence” and “that the United States remains committed to the pursuit of a two-state solution.”
